QME - QLD MINING & ENGINEERING EXHIBITION 2012 - JULY 23, 2012 - JULY 26, 2012 (inclusive)

Tent City Hire in conjunction with Reed Mining Events, the organisers of the Queensland Mining & Engineering Exhibition 2012, are providing accommodation only a few minutes from the Expo site in Mackay.

"Tent City Hire" has been servicing patrons at events for over 15 years throughout Australia. Tent City will be located on Council land at Illawong Drive, South Mackay – only meters from the Ocean. There is ample street parking available.
QME shuttle buses will operate from the site.

The facility will be situated next to the City Beach Volleyball amenities where the management has agreed to open the premises to serve breakfasts, dinner and snacks. The premises are licensed.

The park BBQ’s could be utilised. There will be a number of refrigerators supplied for patrons to store perishable food.

Just Loos Toilets and Showers will provide modern toilet and shower facilities.
All patrons will be asked to wear the Tent City armband so that our staff, who are on site for the entire event, can easily identify patrons at any time. This is a security measure to prevent non-patrons from accessing the Tent City precinct.

Accommodation packages are available as single, twin or triple share. The tents are roomy, allowing plenty of room for beds, luggage and easy movement within the tent.
Families and groups can be allocated tents together, but it is necessary to mention this when booking. All Tent City accommodation includes beds and mattresses. The tents are carpeted, screened and fitted with a 12-volt light.

You will need to bring your own bedding (sleeping bag or sheets, blankets & pillows, towels etc.). Alternatively you can pre hire bedding.

Tent City Hire Staff are on site at all times to assist if required.

Regular patrons will attest to the convenience, warm, friendly atmosphere and cooperative staff that makes this facility a popular alternative - these patrons have become friends over the years, and we look forward to catching up with familiar faces and adding new ones to our ever-growing Tent City "family".

Booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. Special rates apply for children 17 years and under who are accompanied by an adult.
